Since 2019, important changes have taken place in the German in-flight catering sector. The priority is therefore to build a network that serves the country's four largest airports: Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Secondly, the combination of know-how is crucial to provide competitive and innovative solutions. Newrest's experience in international flight management together with Flight Delight Air Catering's culinary capabilities meet the needs of our passengers in a post-Covid era.
For our unit in Munich, we are looking for immediate support as
**Driver**
Missions
- Load and unload of all equipment on trucks
- Check the conformity of the amount of trolleys and cabinets to be delivered before loading
- Fill pre-trip inspection book &perform mandatory safety checks of the vehicle for each shift
- Ensure loading the products into vehicles according to plan galley
- Ensure on time delivery of all items for each flight
- Communicate by radio to supervisors and dispatcher
- Drive a heavy vehicle respecting traffic regulations (road and track)
- Secure all products before delivery to the aircraft by sealing material (truck)
- Ensure compliance of loading according to the procedures in place
- Ensure cleaning of the vehicle and the area around the dock after each shift
- Fill various security documents (certificate...), safety and HACCP
- Train new drivers
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported
- Observe the proper use of equipment
- Follow all procedure for health, safety and security
- Maintain clean working area, maintain clean loading docks, maintain clean equipment following rules
- Be diligent, punctual, and reliable
- Perform other duties assigned
Profile
Ideally you are already in Germany to quickly integrate the teams.
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the business
- Good team work skills
- Minimum one years’ driving experience
- Excellent communication skills, with a customer centred approach to service delivery
- Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, DVLA, CAA/DFT requirements and any other vehicle requirements as specified by your manager
- Self-motivation, commitment and enthusiasm and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Background check mandatory
- English required, German is a plus
