Summary

As a member of the Executive Leadership Committee, the Director of Operations is a central position at Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and managing all operational functions and departments, including Front Office, F&B Operations, Banquets and Housekeeping.

**Your tasks include**:

- Responsibility for short
- and long-term planning as well as operational leadership and management of hotel operations in front and back of house
- Preparation and recommendation of the budget and responsibility for the implementation of all measures within the approved plans
- Ability to quickly grasp operational statistics and recognize how these can be used to improve the position of the hotel
- Manage and monitor the development of staff
- Hire, train, coach and mentor employees and conduct annual performance and salary reviews
- Responsibility for preparing reports and forecasts, inventory and budget for hotel operations
- Coordinate major projects such as renovations, investments and equipment changes in collaboration with the Technical Director and General Manager
- Resolve customer complaints to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
Implementing procedures to increase guest and employee satisfaction
- Ongoing employee training to implement Hyatt service standards and procedures

**Qualifications**:
That's you:

- You have previous experience as Director of Operations / Rooms preferred
- You have at least 5 years of operational leadership experience and at least 5 years of experience in a senior department or division head role
- You have proven leadership skills
- You have the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse socio-economic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds
- You have a degree in hotel/hospitality is an advantage
- You must have the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven success in implementing high guest traffic concepts, good communication skills, exceptional customer service and the ability to improve the hotel's financial bottom line
- You can communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing in German and English
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- You have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
- You are flexible, able to work under pressure and keep a cool head even in stressful moments
