This role is a unique opportunity for an actuary part way into their career to report directly to the Chief Actuary, with all the associated responsibility and learnings that come with interacting on a daily basis with the leadership team of the business.

**Overview**:
Key duties (including, but not limited to):

- Complete actuarial work for the quarterly reserving and Solvency II QRTs
- Calculation and actuarial analysis of technical provisions in accordance with HGB, IFRS and Solvency II, including the necessary communication with other departments
- Participate in developing new methodologies and optimisation of actuarial work processes
- Document and communicate assumptions, technical issues and results to actuarial staff, management, and external stakeholders at reserve committee meetings and other forums
- Liaise with internal or external actuaries regarding data requirements and reserve estimates
- Support the risk function with actuarial related sections on the SFCR / RSR and ORSA
- Close coordination and communication with other divisions including finance, claims and data management across the group companies and locations
- There is also the opportunity to participate in their market leading AI and machine learning initiatives

**Qualifications required**:

- Bachelor’s degree in numerical or other relevant academic disciplines. Ideally part or full qualified FIA or DAV

**Experience required**:

- 2-8 years of actuarial experience required (they are casting the net wide as the quality of individual and ability to learn is more important to them than the number of years experience)
- Knowledge of non-life reserving models and Solvency II reporting requirements ideally
- Excellent analytical skills and ideally deep understanding of data analytics in non-life
- Ability to work in a small, dynamic team and undertake multiple roles
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Ability to learn tools and languages such as R, SQL and BI tools such as POWER BI is a plus
