Nuremberg/ Berlin/ Remote (within Germany) | Full-time employee

As a Legal Counsel at Exasol you will work in contract management, mainly for sales and supplier contracts, and give legal advice in all related legal questions including data protection on a global level. You will work closely with Sales, Revenue Operations & Planning, Operations and other specialist departments.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Review, interpret, draft, revise, and negotiate commercial contracts, including: Terms & Conditions, quotes, non-disclosure agreements, request for proposal, Statement of Work, privacy documents, software licenses, master service agreements, partner agreements and other customer contracts
- Legal advice in all related areas, such as privacy law, license, and copyright law etc.
- Operational contract management
- Provide training to internal colleagues, mainly on contracting, data protection and managing legal risk as well as other relevant matters and create 'how to' guidance
- Ensuring to fulfill reporting requirements

**Your profile**:

- First and Second State Examination in German Law or degree in business law
- First relevant professional in-house experience in a comparable position in a company in the IT industry is an advantage
- International legal experience and English language skills ideally gained through work experience abroad (US, UK)
- Experienced handling of the common MS Office programs and communication platforms
- Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM / ERP system or contract management software is helpful
- Well-developed organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to accomplish tasks at hand within the timelines required
- Sense for clarity as well as structured, accurate and precise working method
- Proactive and service-oriented work attitude
- fluent in English and German
