In Faculty III - Linguistics and Cultural Studies - the Institute of Music is seeking to fill a postdoc position (75%) **at the earliest possible date** for an initial period of three years.

**Postdoc Position (M/F/d)**
(pay grade 13 TV-L)

to be filled for 75% of regular working hours (currently 29.85 hours per week).

**Tasks**:
The position includes
- Participation in research projects and scientific services in the research area of music theory/musicology (including supervision and further development of study programs (MA Musicology))
- Participation in research projects of the Institute of Music (Cultural History of Music, Music and Media, Systematic Musicology, Music Pedagogy) and cooperation with colleagues in artistic practice
- Teaching in accordance with the Teaching Obligations Ordinance (LVVO), currently to the extent of 3 LVS, in music theory/musicology (including aural training, basic music theory, musical analysis, cultural history of music) in the BA and MA programs of the Institute

**The position offers the opportunity for further academic qualification (**_Habilitation_**).**

**Required are**
- a habilitation project in the field of music theory/musicology, evidenced by a 2-3-page prospectus on such a project.

**Desirable are**
- Research experience in the field of the job profile (to be proven by relevant publications),
- Familiarity with cultural studies research approaches,
- A broad repertoire of music-analytical approaches to historically, stylistically and regionally diverse musical genres,
- Experience in university teaching in music theory/musicology (including aural training, music theory fundamentals),
- Experience in the field of music theory and its teaching in school and extracurricular contexts,
- German language skills at level C2 or the willingness to acquire these within two years.
