- **Contract**:full-time (40h/week), initially fixed-term for 2 years followed by the option of a subsequent employment contract with an infinite duration
- The Health and Safety Generalist supports the Administration Manager with all Health & Safety matters at the school and kindergarten site in order to ensure a clean, healthy and safe working and working/learning environment for staff members and learners.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:

- Maintaining a clean and supportive environment- Oversee cleaning services provided by external companies
- Serve as the primary contact for cleaning companies
- Resolve cleaning-related complaints from staff
- Oversee lunch catering services provided by external companies
- Serve as the primary contact for lunch catering company
- Coordinating smooth collaboration between communication between lunch catering company and cleaning companies
- Allocation of lockers for teachers and overseeing the cleaning of the lockers

Maintaining a healthy and save environment- Keep the Administration Manager fully informed about all areas of responsibility and manage all issues that arise in relation to this role
- Participate as a member of the Occupational Safety Committee and work closely with the Works Council regarding healthy and safety matters
- Coordinate quarterly meetings of the Occupational Safety Committee
- Arrange safety inspections and risk assessments conducted by external companies (Occupational Safety Specialist)
- Guide hygiene inspections by local health authorities
- Assist the Administration Manager in addressing identified defects
- Assist the Administration Manager in the prevention of occupational accidents and work-related health hazards
- Arrange all necessary annual inspections and follow up maintenance work, e.g. fire equipment, ladders, legionella, asbestos checks etc. and be responsible for appropriate action
- Assist the Administration Manager to promote a general awareness of health and safety legislation within the organisation and to ensure that health and safety of all staff, students, contractors and visitors is understood and respected
- Provide administrative support to the Administrative Manager regarding long and short-term planning, implementation and high-quality delivery of health and safety related aspects of the work
- Assist and support the Administrative Manager to plan and implement any proposed building work which may affect the use of the campuses, including assistance to develop Health & Safety plans and proposed timelines for submission to the appropriate Governing Body for approval
- Record any health & safety queries or concerns and bring them to the attention of the Administration Manager
- Coordination of the procurement of personal protective equipment
- Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person

**Your profile**:

- Qualification and experience in the field of health and safety
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
- Excellent time management and ability to set priorities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to independently perform the full range of duties within the role
- Open and communicative towards other cultures
- Basic knowledge of the English language
