**Duties**:
- Participate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) and quality assurance activities as assigned.
- Provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for infants, children, youth, and adults according to current standards of care, the patient centered medical home model of care, and Army policy and relevant regulations.
- Provide services that include, but are not limited to, examination, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of medical, surgical, obstetric, gynecological, and orthopedic care.
- Provide expertise in advanced patient care services, theories, concepts, principles, and methods sufficient to function as a recognized technical authority in a particular discipline or function.
- Provide administrative guidance, broad policy direction identifying functions, mission requirements, overall goals and objectives of the organization.

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

- This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations (e.g., threat to the facility, natural disaster, delayed reporting).
- This position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 25% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
- Position may require work on weekend call duties and nights.
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete and maintain credentialing and privileging requirements.

- **Basic Requirements for Physician (Family Practice)**:
**Degree**:Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have provided education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
- **Licensure**:Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.- In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
- **Residency Training for GP-14 Position**:Applicants must have successfully completed the required accredited residency training in the specialty of the position to be filled (Family Practice) and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 4 years. Experience may not be substituted for residency training that is required for the specialty identified.

- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
