in Vollzeit (nicht teilzeitgeeignet) zu besetzen. Die Stelle ist befristet bis 31.07.2027.

Als Teil eines neuen Forschungsnetzwerks, das an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen eingerichtet wurde
- Graduiertenkolleg (GRK) 2906 Curiosity _- schreiben wir hier eine Promotionsstelle für einen Zeitraum von zunächst drei Jahren aus, mit einer sehr guten Möglichkeit der Verlängerung um ein weiteres Jahr. Das Projekt wird voraussichtlich am 1. August 2024 beginnen.

Im Rahmen von dreizehn Projekten werden die Wissenschaftler*innen des GRK 2906 die neuropsychologischen, biologischen und computergestützten Grundlagen der Neugier untersuchen. Das Netz besteht aus einem hochgradig interdisziplinären Konsortium von Psycholog*innen, Biolog*innen sowie System
- und Computer-Neurowissenschaftler*innen, die gemeinsam an der Beantwortung dreier umfassender Forschungsfragen arbeiten werden: (A) Wann sind wir neugierig? (B) Warum sind wir neugierig? und (C) Wie sind wir neugierig? Die hier ausgeschriebene Promotionsstelle wird untersuchen, wie die Planung zur Erreichung eines bestimmten Ziels die neugiergetriebene Exploration beeinflusst. Der*die Doktorand*in wird theoretisch und experimentell erforschen, (i) wie offene und verdeckte Voreingenommenheiten, die mit verschiedenen potenziellen Pfadoptionen verbunden sind, die Exploration in einem Planungsproblem beeinflussen, und (ii) wie vorherige Erfahrungen in einem Planungsproblem das Explorationsverhalten in einem zweiten, verwandten Problem beeinflussen können. Der*die Doktorand*in wird sich zunächst darauf konzentrieren, wie Agenten an einfache Planungsprobleme herangehen. Es besteht jedoch die Möglichkeit, Studien durchzuführen, die komplexere Planungsstrukturen verwenden (z. B. Strukturen mit mehreren Zweigen, die sich in Bezug auf Kosten und Komplexität unterscheiden).

**Ihr Profil**:

- Master-Abschluss (oder gleichwertiger Abschluss) in Computational Neuroscience oder einem verwandten Fachgebiet (z. B. Informatik, Ingenieurwissenschaften, Physik, Mathematik)
- Erfahrung in der Durchführung experimenteller Studien mit menschlichen Teilnehmern ist nicht unbedingt erforderlich, wäre aber von Vorteil
- Programmierkenntnisse (Python und/oder C++) und gute statistische sowie analytische Fähigkeiten
- Beherrschung der englischen Sprache in Wort und Schrift; Deutschkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich

Der Göttingen Campus hat seine übergreifenden Forschungsschwerpunkte in lebenden Netzwerken, Nachhaltigkeit und Dynamik des Wandels und umfasst vier Max-Planck-Institute, das Deutsche Primatenzentrum, das Campus Institut für Datenwissenschaften und das Campus Institut für Dynamik biologischer Netzwerke. Die dreizehn Promotionsprojekte sind auf diese Institute des Göttingen Campus verteilt.
