**Location**: Leipzig, Germany.

**Summary/Objective**:
Reporting to General Manager of Cryotec and the HR Manager, the Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department including staff administration, recruiting and hiring staff, administering new hire orientation and onboarding, and enforcing company policies and practices.

**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**:

- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, training and development.
- Maintains compliance with German employment laws and regulations, recommends best practices, and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, promotions, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
- Attends and assists in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Assists the recruitment process European hires, including sourcing, telephone screening, interviewing, schedule interviews with managers related, etc. Assist in the preparation of offer letters and employment agreements, salary offer extension and contract negotiation.
- Conducts new hire orientation and onboarding processes.
- Assists in the creation and updating of Job descriptions.
- Assists in the creation and updating of company policies, procedures and programs.
- Assists in the administration of the payroll for European staff.
- Manages the leave of absence which includes receiving requests, uploading data into the system checking the status of days taken and remaining days.
- Assists the performance review process.
- Manages HR-related invoicing from payroll providers, training and other relevant sources.
- Supports other projects and tasks as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years related experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German.
- Knowledge of German employment law & regulations, recruiting practices, and selection procedures.
- Experience with HR systems including HRIS, applicant tracking, and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

**Supervisory Responsibility**:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
