As a Light Woven Menswear Designer, you will be a key player in our creative team, responsible for designing innovative and sustainable menswear collections, with a specific focus on light woven fabrics. You will bring your expertise in design, materials, and sustainability to develop collections that are both contemporary and commercially successful. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all designs align with our brand identity, quality standards, and sustainability goals. **Your responsibilities**
- Design and develop innovative light woven menswear collections that align with the brand’s aesthetic and sustainability objectives.
- Conduct extensive trend research to identify key trends, materials, and techniques that can be integrated into light woven designs.
- Collaborate with the Product Development and Sourcing teams to select sustainable fabrics, trims, and finishes that adhere to both design and cost requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept development through to production, ensuring all timelines, costs, and quality standards are met.
- Provide clear, fact-based, and objective feedback to peers and stakeholders to foster a collaborative work environment and break down silos.
- Ensure all designs optimize margins, meet commercial goals, and resonate with the brand story and customer expectations.
- Present trend, design concepts, and product strategies to internal teams and stakeholders in a compelling and effective manner.
- Develop key items that reflect current trends and sustainability practices, balancing creativity with commercial viability.
- Support concept development by providing creative input while ensuring designs are practical and aligned with brand identity and sustainability goals.
**What you bring**
- A degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, Apparel Graphics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing light woven menswear, with a strong understanding of fabric properties, garment construction, and finishing techniques.
- Expertise in trend forecasting, sustainability practices, and the ability to communicate these effectively within the team.
- Proficiency in 3D design systems, product development, and product lifecycle management (PDM/PLM) systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain close working relationships across departments and provide constructive, objective feedback.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and competitive environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), particularly in manufacturing and technical terms; fluency in an additional language is a plus.
- Passion for sustainable fashion and a desire to innovate within the menswear category.
