Overview

SOS International LLC, SOSi is currently seeking an experienced COMSEC Custodian to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany. The COMSEC Custodian, in support of our customers and partner nations, assists in maintaining and operating the local COMSEC management system (LCMS), CEKMS, the management client (MGC) key management infrastructure (KMI) system, simple key loader (SKL), secure telephones, inline network encryptors and a variety of other cryptographic devices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the proper distribution, destruction, inventory and accountability for highly sensitive communications material, key and related publications in order to provide cryptographic security for communications
- Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of COMSEC equipment to include: key tape, equipment, firefly keys, electronic keys, SDNS products, and Security Telephones STE's
- Perform duties associated with COMSEC key material Controlling Authority (CA)
- Must be familiar with NSA's Policy Manual CNSSI No. 4005 and will be responsible for all actions associated with receipt, handling, issuing, safeguarding, and accounting management matters
- Demonstrate experience with the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) LMD/KP, Talon, DTDs, SKL, KIV-7, KG-175D (TACLANE), KG-250
- Works closely with EKMS users to determine EKMS keying material needs
- Assist in conducting training IAW annual EKMS training plan to ensure all personnel handling COMSEC material are familiar with and adhere to proper COMSEC procedures
- Maintain proper storage and the physical security of COMSEC material held by account
- Conduct required inventories and destruction of COMSEC material IAW EKMS and IAW CNSSI No. 4005
- Maintain records and files, issues and recovers COMSEC equipment in accordance with appropriate manuals and polices. Also ensures prompt and accurate preparation, signature, and submission of account correspondence, messages and accounting reports
- Assist in providing written guidance concerning handling, accountability, dispositions, and security of all equipment
- Write, review and analyze COMSEC message traffic and documents to ensure that they are in accordance with current Joint COMSEC Management procedures
- Rapidly respond to crisis situations regarding the compromise or loss of any COMSEC material

**Qualifications**:

- An active in-scope TOP SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, etc. (or the equivalent years of related IT experience) AND five (5) years directly related IT experience
- Must be familiar with NSA's Policy Manual CNSSI No. 4005
- A DoD 8570 IAT level I compliant (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, or SSCP) is required
- COMSEC training - IAEC2112 or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
- Be familiar with CSEL network and applicable Key Systems.
- Be familiar with National as well as Joint regulations and publications as applicable to Controlling Authority and COMSEC functions
- Be familiar with Coalition Electronic Key Management System (CEKMS)
- Be familiar with the Management Client (MGC) Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) system
- Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required
