Die-casting Technologist

**Your tasks**:

- Advise and support development worldwide on new, complex and challenging die cast components or subsystems in material selection, part geometry design and drawing specification
- Independent approval of all drawings/specifications regarding the defined component spectrum (production engineering drawing approval)
- Development of ratio and optimization potentials of existing and new products, processes and operating resources as well as independent implementation
- Analysis of product designs within the Simultaneous Engineering process with regard to production-oriented and economical product design
- Defining and introducing global standards for processes and operating resources and ensuring implementation
- Independent execution and approval of feasibility studies with suppliers and regions regarding technical manufacturability, tooling, equipment and process parameters
- Creation and implementation of comprehensive technological training
- Review and, if necessary, oversee the tooling manufacturing and maturation process and provide quality/purchasing support as part of supplier quality gates and full run testing
- Cooperation with external companies/institutes regarding further development of existing and new technologies

**Your Profile**:

- Completed technical studies (e.g. mechanical engineering), alternatively a specialized advanced training and several years of professional experience in the relevant environment
- Several years of professional experience in the field of production or tool design in the corresponding die casting technology
- Strong and detailed knowledge in the areas of tooling, process, equipment technology and materials science
- Good knowledge of project management
