The head of Operative Supply - Connecting the product demand of our customers with our network of supply partners is of vital importance for our commercial success. As the head of the operations department, you are leading the team of operations managers and thus taking care of seamless supplies. This job is ideal for you if you are an experienced leader with both heart as well as commercial mindset and analytical thinking.

A challenging task
Technical and disciplinary responsibility of the employees within the Operations Business Partners team
Take care of the development of the operations employees; combine motivation with goal
- and result-oriented management
General contact for customers and suppliers regarding all formal, contractual, logístical and scheduling issues
Ensuring optimal supplier performance by tracking the relevant metrics
Representation of the department in meetings with top customers and top suppliers - contact person for customers and suppliers in the event of escalations
Establishment and constant development of a meaningful controlling reporting for day-to-day business
Increasing the performance of supply chains by improving common systems, processes and communication
Responsibility for the constant increase in efficiency by stabilizing and optimizing the processes in the own department and with other departments
Identification of risks in relation to the ability to deliver and development and implementation of corresponding risk management scenarios
Supporting the business units' annual budgeting process by providing meaningful forecasts
Planning and implementation of logistics strategies. Consideration of environmental impacts of the supply chain to achieve sustainability goals

A convincing background
Completed business studies (supply chain management, logistics, business administration)
Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry in manufacturing companies (at least 5 years); established network of contacts in the industry: either on the manufacturer or customer side or both
Experience in a management function with direct employee management (at least 3 years). Very good understanding of and enjoyment of modern and motivating leadership
Good communication and presentation skills as well as a confident demeanor towards customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
Show customer and service orientation as well as the ability to manage different priorities in parallel
Independent, solution-oriented and analytical way of working, flexibility and social skills
Ability and interest in working in a matrix environment in exchange with other technical and commercial departments
Extensive knowledge of processes and control tools (e.g. common key performance indicators) in the area of operations
Business fluent English skills; very good knowledge of German (At least language level B2). Other languages are an advantage
Experience in dealing with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or Navision) as well as the common Office programs (especially Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint) as well as CRM systems
Interest in and experience with the implementation of digital working methods and process control
