**Duration**: 6 months - Part time

The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) seeks a Student Assistant to assist with Re:Order’s project overall event management and logistics activities and research efforts, ensuring the smooth execution of various tasks related to organizing events and day-to-day office administration. This role offers hands-on experience in planning and coordinating events within an international non-profit organization. Key responsibilities include managing RSVPs, coordinating catering, handling logístical arrangements, and general administrative support. This is a great opportunity to learn the behind-the-scenes aspects of event management in a dynamic, multinational environment.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the organisation of events, including preparing lists of participants, sending invitations, tracking registrations, and liaising with attendees
- Assist in handling logístical tasks such as coordinating with venues, hotels and catering companies
- Monitor and respond to the general inbox, ensuring timely and accurate communication with partners and participants
- Update and maintain the project’s and the berlin office’s contact database;
- Support with research and follow relevant debates and monitor political developments in Germany

**Person Specification**:

- Currently enrolled in Political Science, International Relations, Event Management or a related field in a German university or higher education institution. Please note that graduates are not eligible
- The student must be under 30 years old to be eligible for certain social security benefit
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- ** Strong organizational skills** with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a **fast-paced environment**:

- ** Proactive and flexible** attitude, with a willingness to take on varied responsibilities, including administrative and logístical tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in **English** and German
- Previous experience in event planning, logistics, or administrative support is a bonus but not essential
