Für den Forschungsstandort Berlin suchen wir eine/n Biologielaboranten/in, BTA, MTA oder CTA als Forschungsassistent/in (**Research Associate Biology**) in Vollzeitanstellung befristet für ein Jahr.

Der/die Stelleninhaber/in wird in der Abteilung „Drug Delivery“ Experimente für die Entwicklung neuer „Delivery“ Systeme für siRNAs durchführen. Es handelt sich dabei insbesondere um Zellkulturarbeiten, biologisch/biochemische Assays und die Analyse von Zell
- oder Gewebeproben. Die Stellenbeschreibung umfasst keine Versuche an lebenden Tieren.

**Fähigkeiten/ Kompetenzen**

Für die Position als Forschungsassistent/in suchen wir Kandidaten/innen die
- motiviert sind neue Methoden zu erlernen
- erfahren in Zellkultur
- (Zelllinien und primäre Zellen) und Transfektionsmethoden sind
- erfahren in Methoden der Expressionsanalyse (RNA-Isolation und TaqMan) sind
- geschult in Datenanalyse und Dokumentation mit MS-Office Programmen sind
- strukturiert und selbstständig im Team arbeiten
- die deutsche oder englische Sprache beherrschen

We are developing a deep pipeline of innovative siRNAs based on our mRNAi GOLD platform for diseases with a genetic basis. Our wholly-owned pipeline is currently focused in three therapeutic areas of high unmet need: hematology, cardiovascular, and rare diseases.

**Role Purpose**

For our R&D subsidiary in Berlin we hire a **Research Associate Biology** working full time as fixed term employee for a duration of 1 year.

As Research Associate in the Drug Delivery Team, you will be responsible for conducting experiments in the field of oligo-therapeutics to support the development of novel siRNA delivery systems. The experiments focus on _in vitro_ cell culture work, biochemical analysis assays for RNA and protein quantification as well as tissue analysis from _in vivo_ experiments.

**Skills/ Competencies**

The Research Associate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies and behaviours:

- Proactive self-starter with a hunger to learn new methods.
- Experienced in cell culturing (cell lines and primary cells) and transfection methods.
- Practiced in analysing RNA-expression (RNA-extraction and TaqMan analysis), protein detection (Western Blotting, ELISA) and cell analysis techniques (FACS and microscopy)
- Trained in MS-Office data analysis and documentation.
- Demonstrates a structured, independent working style and values teamwork.
- Fluent German or English is essential and good language skills of the other language is advantageous.
