**What to Expect**
Financial Controller - Record-to-report (“RTR”) process for the Gigafactory Berlin. Provides financial analysis for management and liaison between the consolidation department in Fremont USA, the finance teams in Amsterdam and those responsible for business transactions.
**What You'll Do**
- Directing and overseeing day-to-day financial reporting activities of Gigafactory Berlin, including advising on policies, processes, IT software tools and accounting issues
- Responsibility for complex areas of reporting. Responsibility for the monthly financial reporting activities, including account and variance analysis, as well as communicating with all levels of financial management
- Reconciliation from accounting principles US GAAP to HGB and vice versa
- Accompanying initiatives to improve processes and system analysis as well as efficiency and quality in transaction and financial reporting
- Interpretation of data on the company's financial development as part of the opportunity/risk assessment
- Identification of financial transactions and transactions that have not been booked in accordance with applicable accounting regulations and development of correction options
- Responsible for the timely preparation of the annual accounts and other mandatory financial reports within the area of responsibility. Responsible for the creation and submission of statistics and contact person for the authorities
**What You'll Bring**
- In addition to a successful degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on accounting, controlling or finance, you also have practical experience through relevant internships, vocational training or several years of experience in auditing/consulting.
- Further training in finance (accountant) or in controlling (certified controller). However, this can be replaced by comparable training or experience.
- Extensive knowledge of HGB. US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
- Sound understanding of accounting and business processes in an international group
- Being able to work independently on new, highly complex topics and developing solutions or further developing solution models
- Fluent in both German and English in writing and speaking
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar financial reporting systems, Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
