**Automation and Pipeline Design (M/F/d)**

Join our team Plant Physiology Excellence to drive digitalization and automation of the work and data flows within the Plant Physiology Platform. With Bayer as your employer you will work on targeted projects to bring our mission to Life: "Health for all and Hunger for none".

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Drive design, implementation, maintenance and advancement of digital workflows, data pipeline landscape and data analytics within the Plant Physiology Excellence, ensuring that IT products meet the needs of the business
- Lead and develop a team to meet the changing digital needs for the Platform and drive overall digital mindset of the organization
- Drive project management for Platform Development/advancement and coordinate with internal IT (on site and global), (external) system providers, digital leads, platform operators/users and other stakeholders
- Identify operational inefficiencies and devise solutions (monitoring performance of digitals assets and ensure function)
- Identify growth opportunities for additional advanced data analyses, digital systems and platform enablement
- Support development and implementation of the Digitalization roadmap of Weed Control Research
- Serve as a point and coordinate collaboration with neighboring functions like E&T and CLS

**WHO YOU ARE**
- Degree in Computer Science/Informatics/Data Science or related field, ideally with experience in lab/greenhouse digitalization and/or automation in R&D environment
- Experience in leading IT/digitalization projects involving external partners and ability to define requirements for an IT backend of an infrastructure project & coordinate with cross functional IT counterparts, service vendors
- Demonstrated ability to engage both end users and IT experts and clearly representing and communicating the needs of the functions
- Demonstrated R&D domain knowledge for biological testing in labs and greenhouses
- Demonstrated project leadership and influence skills that develop trusting partnerships with cross-functional teams; leading to lasting digital change
- Profound knowledge of Bayer IT systems & take responsibility for end-to-end working process
- Passion for team-work with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex scenarios
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and German is a plus
