**Job description**:
- Advice and support for users on the light microscopes of the Core Facility, especially in the areas of light sheet microscopy, slide scanning and laser microdissection
- Quality control of microscopes, development of test protocols and SOPs
- Assistance in solving technical problems and maintenance of equipment
- Support and co-development of sample preparation methods such as establishment of immunostaining, sample clearing and tissue sectioning
- Digital documentation of image data and test results
- Independent communication with manufacturers and organization of service calls
- Support of general laboratory operations

Beratung und Betreuung der Nutzer:innen an den Lichtmikroskopen der Core Facility, insbesondere in den Bereichen Lightsheet-Mikroskopie, Slidescanning und Lasermikrodissektion_
- _ Qualitätskontrolle von Mikroskopen, Entwicklung von Prüfprotokollen und SOPs_
- _ Unterstützung bei der Behebung technischer Probleme und bei der Gerätewartung_
- _ Unterstützung und Mitentwicklung von Probenpräparationsmethoden wie Etablierung von Immunfärbungen, Klärung von Gewebeproben und Anfertigung von Gewebeschnitten_
- _ Digitale Dokumentation von Bilddaten und Versuchsergebnissen_
- _ Eigenständige Kommunikation mit Herstellerfirmen und Organisation von Serviceeinsätzen_
- _ Unterstützung des allgemeinen Laborbetriebs_
**Requirements**:
- Completed training as BTA, MTA, laboratory assistant or equivalent
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in light microscopy and sample preparation is an advantage, beginners are explicitly encouraged to apply
- Good knowledge of German and English language is required
- Confident use of standard software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Flexibility, self-motivation, reliability and an organized, independent and autonomous way of working
- Good communication skills, service-oriented personality and ability to work in a team

Abgeschlossene Ausbildung als BTA, MTA, Laborant:in oder äquivalent_
- _ Theoretische und praktische Kenntnisse in Lichtmikroskopie und Probenpräparation sind von Vorteil, Berufsanfänger:innen sind ebenfalls willkommen_
- _ Gute Kenntnisse der deutschen oder englischen Sprache sind erforderlich_
