Our client Docue is looking for a corporate lawyer willing to change the old-fashioned legal industry. Are you bright, ambitious, and ready to develop something new? If so, we want you to lead a team of legal professionals in Docue's new Berlin office.

Docue Technologies is a legal tech company (SaaS) founded in 2015, headquartered in Helsinki, with the mission is to democratise the law and revolutionise the way businesses use legal content.

The product

At the heart of Docue is a unique platform on which one can draft legal documents easier than ever. Backed by in-house lawyers, the platform provides ready-made legal content for any business document, such as board meeting minutes, employment contracts, and shareholders’ or non-disclosure agreements.

Not only does the platform provide legal clauses, but it also guides the user through drafting with automated guidelines.

Docue is particularly useful for SMEs, as these companies don’t usually have in-house legal expertise. On the other hand, SMEs are a market that is almost entirely unaddressed by the traditional legal industry. Docue is here to change the game.

Tasks

As a Head of Legal, Germany (M/F/x), you will be responsible for hiring and managing Docue’s legal team in Germany.

Your team will be designing the legal content on Docue’s platform in accordance with German laws. Docue's partner in Germany supports them in building version 1.0 of the product for the launch, but your team takes it from there.

Besides the legal team, a local sales and marketing team will be hired in Germany. You'll work closely with the commercial side of the German unit - as well as the headquarters - to localise the product optimally.

**Requirements**:

- German qualified lawyer
- A minimum of two years PQE in a law firm, in-house legal department, or equivalent
- Expertise in business law, especially company law, employment law, and contract law
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both verbal and written
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- As a person, you are analytical, self-determined, and energetic
