Die Gruppe Interactive & Cognitive Systems in der Abteilung Vision & Imaging Technologies (VIT) ist auf der Suche nach Werkstudent*innen mit einem starken Fokus auf Maschinelles Lernen, Computer Vision, und Remote Sensing für die Verarbeitung von Satellitendaten. Unsere Gruppe untersucht natürliche und entwirft künstliche kognitive Systeme, erforscht deren Beziehungen und entwickelt Methoden, die Interaktionen zwischen ihnen ermöglichen. Die Forschung der Gruppe liegt an der Schnittstelle zwischen Kognitionswissenschaften, maschinellem Lernen und Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion. Die Anwendungen der dabei erarbeiteten Lösungen finden sich in einem weiten Feld von Multimediatechnologie und erweiterter Realität, über die Medizin bis hin zur Landwirtschaft und industriellen Produktion. Hier benötigen wir Ihre Hilfe, Ihre Expertise und Leidenschaft für maschinelles Lernen und Computer Vision, insbesondere im Kontext der Remote Sensing. Durch den Beitritt zu unserem Team haben Sie die Möglichkeit, an Spitzenprojekten zu arbeiten und Ihre Fähigkeiten einzusetzen, um Algorithmen und Modelle zu entwickeln, die bedeutungsvolle Informationen aus Satellitenbildern extrahieren können. **Was Sie bei uns tun**
- Umfassende Forschung durchführen und die neuesten ML- und CV-Algorithmen auf Fernerkundungsdaten anwenden
- Modelle für die Analyse und Interpretation von Satellitenbildern entwickeln und implementieren, mit Fokus auf Umwelt-, landwirtschaftliche oder städtische Anwendungsbereiche
- Zusammenarbeit mit dem Team zur Verwaltung und Optimierung von aus Satellitenquellen abgeleiteten Datensätzen, um deren effektiven Einsatz in Modelltraining und -bewertung zu gewährleisten

**Was Sie mitbringen**

Bereitschaft, sich in einem interdisziplinären Team in neue CV, RS, ML Themen und Methoden einzuarbeiten

Wünschenswert sind:

- Erfahrung mit Programmiersprachen und Tools wie Python, OpenCV und PyTorch
- Kenntnisse in Remote Sensing, GIS-Software, Satellitenbilder-Verarbeitung und Geodaten-Analyse, sind ein Plus
- Studierenden-Status für mindestens die nächsten 12 Monate
- Ein abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium in Informatik oder einem verwandten Bereich oder gleichwertige Kenntnisse. Kandidaten, die kurz vor dem Abschluss ihres Bachelorstudiums stehen, sind ebenfalls willkommen, sich zu bewerben.
