**We seek**:

- In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Dep. ETI, Embedded Systems, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.01.2024 at the following conditions:
- 50% = 19,92 hours
- Pay grade 13 TV-L
- limited until 30.09.2025

The job posting is part of the MASON and IOTRAIN research projects aimed at developing energy-efficient, reliable, and real-time wireless communication systems.**Your tasks**:

- Simulative, analytical and experimental integration of novel system concepts or demonstrators in the area of embedded systems.
- Development and optimization of algorithms for wireless transmission of real-time critical data, e.g. for mobile robots or industrial systems
- Further development and evaluation of innovative and heterogeneous architectures for wireless systems such as WLAN, LoraWAN, NBIoT or cellular radio networks (5G/6G)
- Scientific evaluation of specific performance indicators (e.g. data throughput, delay, jitter,...) based on the developed methods and achieved results
- Publication in international journals and conference proceedings
- Planning, execution and acquisition of research projects in the area of 5G/6G Internet of Things and Industrie 4.0

**Your profile**:

- University degree (Master or comparable) in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
- Knowledge of radio systems and their protocols
- Programming experience in at least one language (Python, C++)
- Good knowledge of English (at least C1 level)
