Mechanic Technician

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Inspects, repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion engines, hydraulic cylinders, fuel pumps, fuel/hydraulic lines, voltage regulators and generators used in automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.
- Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.
- Maintenance support including operations of powered and non-powered units, system troubleshooting, engineering, analysis, maintenance and repair of commercial and military systems and subsystems to the component level.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical power support systems by verifying proper fuel, lubricants and coolant levels.
- Effectively applies industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
- Maintains and prepares records and documentation to ensure accurate and timely data processing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Must obtain or already have an active Germany/E.U. Work VISA to be considered.
- 6+ years of qualified maintenance experience.
- Qualified experience includes one or more of the following: non-tactical/commercial vehicle fleets and/or military light or heavy duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, ground systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
- Proven maintenance experience with repair and technical experience, background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
- Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
- Must be able to meet all government Individual Replacement Deployment Operations (IRDO) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Possession of a valid European or German driver's license is required (OR) the ability to obtain a valid driving license before beginning employment.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Competent with maintenance documentation, Word, and Excel programs.
- Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations in support of program customers.

**Clearance Requirements**:

- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
