Senior Expert Export Control Programs

Are you good in translating complex regulatory language into executable processes? Do you like to compare technical details with the latest control lists? You enjoy advising departments on the topic of export control and implementing the new policy developments and processes? Then we have a great opportunity for you as Senior Expert Export Control Programs where you will be contributing to compliant exports
In your new role you will:
- **Advance the Software classification **and supervision of technology transfers, develop, implement and maintain **technology control plans**:
- **Drive programs and special initiatives for export control **matters in a team of experts, including but not limited to: Export license coordination and submission in collaboration with the EC team in the US
- **Contribute as a **Center of Excellence for U.S. (re-)export controls for the EU region (EAR and ITAR) **and work closely with the US export control team
- Incorporate relevant regulations into the internal control program for export control, create and maintain **work instructions **and circulars
- **Closely cooperate with teams of experts **on site and in other branches and subsidiaries in Europe
- **Provide technical support to core and enabler processes **and IT systems such as order processing procedures, product and customer master databases, download servers for technology, interfaces to export control review servers and entry tools, export control tools, and more
- **Develop and conduct trainings on technology control plans **for various target groups like R&D and manufacturing teams and their management
Persuasion and open-mindedness belong to your personal competences. You manage to combine individual competences to support internal as well as external customers. Furthermore, it is your endeavor as a person and team to constantly contribute to improvements.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A **degree in business administration, industrial, electrical engineering, information technology or similar**:
- Knowledge of business law is a plus
- At least **5 years of professional experience **in the field of export control and ideally experience in classification of software or implementation of technology control plans
- Expert knowledge of the **German and European export control law **as well as **U.S. regulations **in the area of **EAR**:
- Knowledge of **ITAR **is an advantage
- Intercultural sensitivity to interact with **cross-functional and global teams**:
- **Excellent English and also good German **communication and presentation skills
