The section IT 1.6 Business Technology is responsible for successful consulting, bundling, management and design of IT innovation solutions in close cooperation with the business units and departments, and central divisions in Munich Re (Group), as well as with other IT units.

IT 1.6.3.2 is responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end solutions for Munich Re's Big Data and Analytics Platform and AI-based solutions. Our focus is on projects with advanced analytics, including text analytics/NLP, computer vision, and augmented data management. We work closely with various global and group-level reinsurance units, particularly ERGO and MEAG.

**Your Job**
- Taking on technical product ownership for the existing data catalog product
- Designing and implementing a data marketplace while ensuring its technical integration into the Munich Re IT infrastructure
- Ensuring high performance, security, scalability, and maintainability in your solution design
- Proactively collaborating with business teams to finding solutions and ensuring their end-to-end implementation
- Developing concepts for data management and governance to integrate into the existing data platform in collaboration with the designated business owner
- Delivering compelling presentations, product demonstrations, roadmap reviews, sample solutions, and discussions to promote the adoption of the catalogue and analytics

**Your Profile**
- Proven experience in designing IT architectural solutions in cloud environments
- Experiences in one or more areas: data catalog concepts, data lake / lakehouse concepts, data governance capabilities, data mesh concept
- Hands-on experience with data management (e.g. Master Data Management, Data Quality)
- Having experience in the Azure environment can be highly advantageous
- Familiarity with Alation and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services is a plus
- Very good understanding of microservice architectures
- Programming skills in Python or another similar programming language is a plus
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner
- Fluent in both spoken and written business English
