We offer you the opportunity to write your thesis in an innovative, large-scale manufacturing company and to get to know the exciting tasks in the field of advanced engineering - AI simulation.
Focus of the thesis:
- Development of a constitutive flow curve equation for an OTTO-FUCHS alloy using AI methods
- Creation of a comprehensive database for training, testing and validation purposes, including both literature data and internal experimental results
- Comparison of model fit and performance with phenomenological and experimental results
- Increasing the efficiency of OTTO-FUCHS forging simulation by integrating the final AI model as a subroutine in our forming software
**Qualifications**
- Enrolled student in the field of engineering, natural sciences, computer science or comparable degree programs
- Enjoy and have initial experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, simulation and metallurgy
- Enthusiasm for topics such as machine learning, Python programming and numerical methods
- Structured and independent way of working, combined with the willingness to work effectively in a team
