**Job Title: Dispatch Technician - Data Center**
**Location**:Frankfurt, Germany
**Responsibilities**:
As a Dispatch Technician in our data center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our network infrastructure.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Utilizing various fiber testing and cleaning tools such as OTDR, LSPM, BER, OSA, and others for testing, configuration, and reporting.
- Provisioning and installing cables or optics for new circuits, managing physical cabling, and ensuring effective cable management, including Fiber, Copper, and Power.
- Collaborating with network and server teams in rack and stack operations, as well as supporting planned and predictive maintenance or circuit migration.
- Conducting labelling, patching, and asset tagging activities; executing installations as required via physical or network medium.
**Break/Fix & Technical Tasks**:
- Testing fiber connections, identifying high loss or breakage using OTDR/LSPM/VFL.
- Cleaning fibers, replacing faulty optical cables, and executing fiber tests such as Optical Spectrum Analysis and BER testing.
- Configuring remote access, performing basic storage array configurations, and handling replacement of faulty cables and equipment including routers and storage devices.
- Managing tape handling and equipment maintenance, as well as providing loop-back cables for remote circuit testing.
**Deployment/Configuration Activities**:
- Supporting the deployment of servers (both virtual and physical), storage and backup devices, and server/router appliances.
- Assisting with network switch configurations, SAN fabric switches, KVM units, WAN optimization devices, firewalls, access points, and physical cabling management.
- Providing remote assistance to teams as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Willingness and ability to support multiple sites as required.
- A strong understanding of network infrastructure and fiber optics.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and technical aptitude.
