**About us**
At the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants we are looking for a full-time (100%, E13 TVL, starting on 10 April 2023, initially limited for 1 year with the option of extension) research associate (M/F/d) (Post-Doc). Our focus is the development of biohybrid implants for new and innovative therapeutic solutions.
The chair belongs to the TUM School of Engineering and Design, and to the Munich Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich.
**Requirements**:
Ÿ PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field
Ÿ Native or high-level English speaking/writing
Ÿ Strong article and grant writing skills
Ÿ Experience in tissue engineering (preferably vascular or valvular tissue engineering) and/or biomedical engineering
**Responsibilities**:
Ÿ Develop innovative cardiovascular implants by tissue engineering and biomedical engineering concepts: including designing, fabrication process, mechanical and biological _in vitro_ characterization
Ÿ Grant writing/project acquisition
Ÿ Manuscript writing, conference participation
Ÿ Active participation in the education of research fellows and students
Ÿ Active participation in the teaching (lectures and practical courses)
Ÿ Supervision of research projects, Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD’s theses
Ÿ Contribution to the further development of the chair
