For our EMEA Procurement Team we are currently looking for a
**Manager Procurement / Commodity (M/F/d)** located in
**Norderstedt, Germany**, in
**permanent employment.**
In this role you:
- Manage a team of around 20 team members at our sites in Norderstedt (Germany), Senlis (France) and Burges-Hill (UK)
- Develop and execute procurement strategies and ensure their alignment with achievement of the company’s key results.
- Develop and enhance strategic supplier relationships and lead the key supplier business review process.
- Manage the day to day operations of the procurement team to achieve key results in support of the business; flexing resources, optimizing demand and releasing those requirements into the supply base.
- Realign supplier delivery schedules to customer demand.
- Manage negotiations with vendors on prices, contracts and conditions.
- Use a monthly dashboard of KPIs regarding supply base performance and use this information as the basis for prioritizing Supply Chain performance improvement.
- Resolve supplier discrepancies (quantities, paperwork and other) by closely working with the Operations and Quality departments; manage replenishment of fast moving items and contract items.
- Maintain and disseminate knowledge and awareness of industry issues, trends and developments for assigned commodity area
What you should bring with you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
- 6 to 8 years of relevant working experience
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience of an international team which is located in different regions of the world
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Polished, professional presence with exemplary communication skills
- Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English and German; French language skills would be desirable
- Excellent presentation and project management skills
- Self-starter with ability to motivate and influence others.
- Experience in new supplier identification and development
