unybrands acquires e-commerce brands that operate on and off Amazon. unybrands integrates the brands into its platform, optimizes the business operations and economics, and expands to new product lines and geographies. With us, e-commerce brands reach new heights with expert operators and infrastructure.

**About the role**:
As Head of Accounting & Financial Operations you will play a key role in overseeing the finance operation functions of unybrands to transition a fast growing scale-up to IPO readiness. You will report to our CFO based in Berlin.

**Responsibilities include - but are not limited to**:_ _**:

- Leadership and management:

- Manage a team of 6 in Berlin and US-remote enabling a high level of performance and professional development of team members
- Ongoing hiring: Continue to build out the accounting team in Berlin
- Oversee financial operations including accounting, AR, AP, treasury, payroll, and tax
- IPO Readiness: continually refine and implement financial policies, processes and controls to meet the standards required for public companies
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable and treasury functions
- Oversee global payroll
- Oversee tax compliance
- Lead the annual audit process and function as key contact for external auditors and tax authorities

**A successful team member will have**:

- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a reputable accounting and tax audit firm, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Start-up / scale-up experience is a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP is desirable
- Proficiency in English language
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and go-getter attitude
- Can work in our office in Berlin
