**Who are we?**

Arcanys Ventures is reimagining the venture capital landscape. Rather than providing financial backing, we offer startups - at the seed and series A stage - a highly-skilled dedicated tech team and seasoned advisors. This unique, hands-on approach allows startups to sidestep the traditional challenges of fundraising and talent acquisition, enabling them to focus solely on scaling their business.

As of 2024, we've formed partnerships with 25 startups and celebrated a successful exit with ASICS. While we don't invest money, the value of our dedicated teams and resources is substantial. Our typical investment per round ranges from USD 100k to USD 500k in equivalent service value, with the option for follow-on rounds. Our success is deeply intertwined with that of our portfolio companies, making us committed long-term partners in their journey.

**Position Overview**

This is a remote, part-time role with 20% allocation (1 day per week) and offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to work with us on your own terms.

**In this role you’ll get to**:

- Scout and Source Investment Opportunities: Identify high-potential startups in their late seed or Series A stages that would benefit from Arcanys Ventures’ partnership model (offering software teams in exchange for equity).
- Leverage Your Network: Use your established connections in the startup ecosystem to uncover deals and build relationships with founders, incubators, accelerators, and investors in your region.
- Screen Startups: Conduct preliminary assessments of potential investments, evaluating their market potential, business model, and fit with Arcanys Ventures’ investment strategy.
- Maintain Market Awareness: Stay up to date with the startup trends, investment flows, and emerging technologies in your specific region and sector.
- Collaborate with Investment Team: Regularly communicate with the Arcanys Ventures team to report on scouting activities, share insights, and make recommendations for new investments.

**What you’ll need to succeed**:

- Experience working in an incubator, accelerator, investment group, or company that has been involved in funding and scaling startups.
- Prior experience in sourcing, scouting, or evaluating early-stage startup investments. Familiarity with the dynamics of the seed and Series A funding stages.
- Familiarity with the tech startup landscape and understanding of how software development teams can help scale startups (we can also train you).
- Established, wide-reaching connections within the startup ecosystem in any of the following investment scenes: Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland or the UK. You should be well-versed in the local startup scene and know where to find the most promising founders and teams.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to discovering new opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—ability to build rapport with founders, investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time, with the motivation to deliver results even in a flexible, remote setup.
