Quality Assurance Specialist

Hamburg

The Quality Specialist Q-Assurance As a member of the European quality team, you will create, maintain and ensure effective quality management for the Hamburg plant and play an active role in quality improvement and the elimination of causes of quality defects.

Main:

- Quality Management Systems - Supports the effective implementation of the quality management system for the Hamburg location as well as HACCP verification. Responsible for the creation and updating of quality procedures for the Hamburg location.
- Audits - Responsibility for the HyQuaSi program, conducting internal quality audits and supporting the annual quality review. Support in the organization and implementation of customer audits at the Hamburg location. Reporting KPIs for the audit department.
- Quality Initiatives - Responsible for investigating customer complaints and incidents. Responsible for quality training and quality improvement initiatives, co-creation of Q-days. Responsible for pest control, the Drinking Water Ordinance compliance program and the environmental monitoring hygiene program.
- Cross Functional Projects - Supporting the safety culture at the Hamburg location and in the team. Supporting food and feed safety quality assurance programs and process improvement (CI) project management. Project support in the area of new products / processes: management of new or modified recipes (IPA/SAP)

What you bring to the table:
Mandatory requirements:

- Degree in the food industry or natural sciences (e.g. master chemistry or university degree)
- Professional experience in industrial food or chemical production - in quality assurance, manufacturing or product development
- In-depth knowledge of internal and external certification audits (e.g. FSSC22000, ISO9001)
- Experience with internal and customer audits
- Fluent in German, good command of the English language (spoken and written)
- Competent in IT-/ Computer Literate in relevant packages (SAP, MS Office)
- Excellent customer focus, communication and organizational skills
