**Deine Aufgaben**:
As part of your PhD in our Dermatological Skin Care lab, you will use bioinformatic and machine learning approaches to analyze high-dimensional transcriptomics data from healthy and diseased skin to identify latent drivers of pathogenesis. You will be able to work with data sets generated using state‑of‑the‑art methodologies such single-cell and spatial RNA sequencing, and further have the opportunity to actively participate in the development of new computational models and tools for the analysis of different types of imaging data, allowing you to develop strong skills in working with various data types.
**Dein Profil**:
- Highly motivated with a curious mindset and a passion for research
- Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology or an aligned field
- Experience in programming with R and/or Python
- Ideally experience in analyzing high-throughput transcriptomics data, ideally single-cell sequencing and/or spatial sequencing data
- Previous experience in analyzing imaging data is a bonus
- Ideally familiarity with training and implementation of supervised/unsupervised machine learning models, in particular artificial neural networks
- Ideally but not necessarily some previous wet-lab experience
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- High proficiency in written and spoken English and ideally German
