Full Professor (W3) in Neuroanatomy
Internationally recognized scientific expertise in a modern research area of neuroanatomy is expected, strengthening the research focus of the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University. Internationally recognized scientific achievements in a cutting-edge research area of neuroanatomy are expected. The research area should strengthen at least one of the four research priorities of the Medical Faculty and should meaningfully complement the expertise of the other two anatomical institutes. Extensive third-party funding and profound teaching experience in anatomy are also expected.
The willingness for interdisciplinary and scientific cooperation with the institutes of the Medical Faculty and the clinics of the Uniklinik RWTH Aachen is required as well as the cooperation with the Helmholtz Institute for Biomedical Engineering and the engineering and natural science disciplines of the RWTH Aachen. In addition, future collaboration within the re-search priorities of the faculty as well as in one or more of the associated research networks (e.g. SFB TRR 219, SFB 1382, KFO 344, KFO 5011, IRTG 2150, GRK 2375, GRK 2415, GRK 2610, PAK 961, CIOABCD, JARA, IZKF AACHEN) is considered part of the requirements. Dedicated participation in the Modellstudiengang Medicine, the Dental Medicine Program, and the Master’s Program in Biomedical Engineering is also expected.
