Research Assistant (w/m/d)
Transcriptomics
Vollzeit und unbefristet
Ihre Aufgaben
- Durchführung der Genexpressionsanalysen von Zell-Präparationen, die aus Projekten stammen, die sich mit Stoffwechselkrankheiten und Tumorerkrankungen befassen; für diese Proben Erstellen von Bibliotheken für das RNA Deep-Sequencing
- Entwicklen von Transkriptomik-Assays zusammen mit unseren Wissenschaftlern für das Screening von Wirkstoffen sowie zur Evaluierung von Wirkmechanismen und Targets in primären Zellen oder Zelllinien
- Abhängig vom zu erzielenden Durchsatz, Übertragung der Assays zusammen mit unseren Spezialisten in ein miniaturisiertes Format und Automatisierung der Durchführung und/oder Analyse
- Arbeit mit einer Vielfalt weiterer Methoden, darunter RNA- Präparation, cDNA-Synthese und - Amplifikation sowie spektrophotometrische und elektrophoretische Methoden
- Nach erfolgreicher Einarbeitung, selbstständige Durchführung der Experimente von der Planung bis hin zur Analyse und Dokumentation
Ihr Profil
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung zum Biologielaboranten, BTA oder MTA sowie einschlägige Berufserfahrung oder ein Hochschulabschluss in einem relevanten Studienfach (BSc, MSc)
- Routiniert und sicher mit Methoden der Molekularbiologie (RNA-handling, cDNA-Synthese, Kapillarelektrophorese, PCR/qPCR, Qualitätskontrolle von Nukleinsäuren)
- Teamplayer, mit einem Planungs
- und Organisationstalent, um den Arbeitsalltag flexibel den Projektzielen anpassen zu können
- Zuverlässige und motivierte Arbeitsweise
- Gute Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache zur Kommunikation im Arbeitsalltag sowie zur Dokumentation sind essentiell
