**Main Responsibilities**
- Partner with product teams and regional commercial teams to negotiate sales / service, distribution / indirect channel, R&D, supplier and other legal agreements.
- Draft, review and negotiate strategic business agreements and transactions.
- Provide legal assistance to corporate functions, including Finance, HR, Tax, etc.
- Advise the business on compliance, privacy, antitrust, quality / regulatory and advertising / promotional matters.
- Support disputes with third parties
- Manage outside counsel to defined budgets as and when engaged to assist.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the legal department and assist as needed.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned or requested, as knowledge of the business and legal skills evolve.

**Required Qualification**
- Legal degree with 10+ years prior experience at a large law firm or corporate legal department

**Critical Skills**
- Ability to effectively negotiate, persuade and offer creative resolutions to reach mutually acceptable compromise positions, with little managerial support.
- Experience with private and public tender contracting processes.
- Familiarity with GDPR compliance
- Strong project management and prioritization skills; ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively.
- Proven team player with ability to work across all levels of the organization, including multiple functional and business stakeholders.
- Ability to determine risk exposure and advise the business in a practical manner, balancing legal risks with business needs.

**Special Requirements**
- Fluent in English, at least CEFR C1 level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including a clear and concise drafting style.
- Ability to work independently; energetic and self-motivated.
- Ability to successfully lead projects and establish cohesive, effective cross-functional teams.
- MS Word and Excel command required.
- Written and verbal business-level communication skills in German and/or French would be beneficial.
- Anticipated travel < 5%.

**Physical Demands (other requirements)**
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office resources, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
