**A Snapshot of Your Day**
As appointed Product Safety Officer (f/m/d) under the product safety system of Siemens Energy you will be a key contact person for the functions Controls & Digitalization and Nuclear Instrumentation & Controls, and the respective business.
**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Taking care of definition, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvements of the product safety system
- Supporting in the preparation of process instructions relevant to product safety and product conformity, throughout the product lifecycle
- Conducting risk assessments and lead investigations in case of product safety related non-conformities, collaborate closely with the legal, service and communication department and ensure clear and transparent information to the customers, if this is necessary
- Defining, maintaining and improving processes to assure that our current portfolio and new products comply with market access requirements (e.g. CE conformity) and other national / international norms and standards
- Supporting sales and operations teams around the world regarding legal regulations and standards which concern functional safety, electrical safety, explosion protection, electromagnetic compatibility, machine and plant safety and national market access conformity requirements
- Providing trainings for product safety related topics to other employees to foster the safety and quality culture and awareness
- Contributing to internal and external audits with your product safety expertise
**What You Bring**
- University studies in engineering (in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, quality assurance) or with a similar education, you have ideally already gained many years of relevant professional experience in quality and safety management for I&C or automation products
- Being used to work independently, self-organized, are willing to explore new specialist topics and enjoy direct exchange with others in the organization to foster the safety and quality culture and awareness
- Experienced in the field of functional safety as a certified FS Engineer (FSE) in accordance with IEC 61508/61511 and / or as a trained expert in the field of electrical explosion protection in the process industry (IEC 60079)
- Being confident in carrying out risk estimations and evaluations regarding electrical products and are able to identify important interfaces and not lose sight of the overall process (e.g. HAZOP / FMEA experience)
- You convince as a certified CE coordinator with practical experience in the conformity assessment of products
- Gained experience in ISO 9001 audits as well as relevant experience in the area of improvement processes
- You can also score points with your fluent written and spoken English skills, German language skills would be an advantage

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
