**Duties**:

- Serves as a sports specialist/clinician in a Child and Youth Services (CYS) program, with responsibility for providing support and assistance to the CYS Sports and Fitness Director and installation volunteer sports coaches.
- Models appropriate behaviors and techniques and helps coaches in creating appropriate environments; selecting materials and equipment; and planning meaningful practices that support the required sport season.
- Conducts practice and game visits as required for the purpose of providing support and assistance.
- Helps inspect sports facilities/programs to ensure safety compliance. Recommends purchase of equipment required to maintain proper safety compliance. Secures supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- Provides oversight and accountability for program participants in compliance with DoD, Army, and local policies, guidance, and standards. Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/physical/background requirements for this position.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
- A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable).
- Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
- Must obtain/maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
- Must either currently possess or have the ability to obtain a National Association of Youth Sports Clinician Certification within six months of employment.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must complete a health assessment including all required immunizations.
- Must possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.

**Qualifications**:

- Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in physical education,
- OR all of the following equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level:

- 1. Experience managing or assisting in the delivery of a sports or physical education program which included both individual and team sports
- 2. Demonstrated knowledge of the skills and techniques needed for various sports.- **Education**:

Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country, except for the host country of Germany.

U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.

In NATO countries, employment under U.S. conditions is restricted by the NATO SOFA to individuals who are nationals of a NATO country. These individuals may not be employed under U.S. employment conditions in the country of their citizenship.

**PCS Costs**
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

**Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differential**s
- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. **_If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay._** When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). - Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

**Incentives and Bonuses**
- Incentives will not be paid.

**Foreign Overseas Allowances and Differentials**:

- Overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
