Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

Specific Duties

**Requirements**:
A university degree in a relevant field.

A degree in Iranian Studies (Ancient/Middle Iranian Philology, Religious Studies) is preferred, ideally with a focus on Zoroastrianism, Zoroastrian Scribes and/or Scribal Practices during the Safavid Period.

Furthermore
- expertise in manuscriptology, in palaeography and/or in Iranian philology (Avestan, Middle Persian and New Persian)
- experience in dealing with ancient written artefacts
- very good knowledge of written and spoken English
- language skills in Avestanor Middle Persian and New Persian
- experience in interdisciplinary work
- ability to work independently as a researcher as well as to work in a team
