What to Expect
- The Tesla Engineering Germany Team is seeking a Firmware Validation Intern who will be responsible for ensuring firmware support for new features and new hardware that are designed, implemented, and tested to achieve Tesla’s standards for safety, quality and customer experience.
- As a Firmware Validation Engineering Intern, you will be instrumental in driving projects forward swiftly and aligning contributions from multiple teams to create cohesive end products. Acting as the primary validation engineer, the main tasks will focus on writing automated tests in Python as well as building test setup for firmware testing and validation.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate closely with Firmware Engineers for testing new firmware
- Write automated tests in Python, using our existing test framework
- Support in building test setup for Firmware Validation for board level, module level and regression tests
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings actively sharing blockers and proposed solutions to contribute effectively to project progress
- Execute assigned tasks, showcasing initiative and the ability to work efficiently with mínimal supervision

What You’ll Bring
- Ongoing studies in Electrical Engineering, Firmware Engineering or similar field (preferably prospective master’s graduates)
- Reliable and independent working with strong problem-solving orientation
- Proficient in Python, C and Git
- Fluency in English with the ability to discuss any issues within interdisciplinary teams
- Must be comfortable with hands-on lab work (including the use of scopes/logic analyzers, CAN tools, soldering irons, etc as needed to support integration).
- Previous internship and/or project experience especially in Power Electronics design or testing is a strong plus
