Telecommunications Specialist

**Job Title: Telecommunications Specialist (GmbH Non-TESA)**

**Job Location: Germany (Non-Tesa)**

This position supports a US Military customer and may have a 24 x 7 support requirement which could include an Extended Workweek (EWW) or Shift Work during other than normal duty hours.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, operate, and maintain Tactical VSAT.
- Install, operate, and maintain the tactical SATCOM radio.
- Install, operate, and maintain the LINKWAY® Master Reference Terminal (MRT)/Network Controller.
- Configure TDMA network for Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN).
- Configure and integrate COMSEC equipment i.e. KG -175D, KG-175 Classic, KG-250X and KG-175E into all tactical SATCOM systems.
- Manage and maintain telecommunication installation supplies.
- Maintain daily on-hand inventories.
- Configure FDMA network modems.

**Job Requirements**:

- Shall have formal operator training and experience for tactical SATCOM systems.
- Shall have an understanding, configuration and troubleshooting ability of DMVPN Architecture.
- Shall have an understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP and RIP).
- Shall have an understanding of switching fundamentals (Virtual Local Area Network System (VLANS), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security, Spanning Tree).
- Shall have an understanding of Cisco Encryption Concepts within a DMVPN Architecture.
- Shall have an understanding of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) Acceleration over Satellite concepts. Strong communication and writing skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a comprehensive background check
- US Secret Security Clearance
- Position is not approved for technical expert status accreditation (TESA). Compliance with German immigration, payroll and taxation is required.
