**Assistant Scientist /Technical Assistant****:

**Job description**:

- Conduct high-quality, reproducible experiments based on pre-defined project milestones and timelines
- Perform standard molecular and immunofluorescent assay to high quality: nucleic acids extraction, qPCR, electrophoresis, cloning, western blotting, immunostaining.
- Work with cell culture and/or rodent animal models
- Support new technology development
- Prepare all general stock solutions
- Adhere to experimental timelines defined by client project proposals
- Accurately record observations and data, interpret results and prepare reports for internal purposes
- Support procurement activities
- Comply with Genome Biologics quality standards and best practices
- Communicate results internally on regular basis

**Desired profile**:

- Scientific degree (BSc/MSc) or industry experience in the field of biology/life sciences
- Strong experience with cell culture
- Hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques of gene manipulation and immunostaining techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic, positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
- Team player with the ability to quickly adapt to new projects
- Good communication skills
- Proficient English. German is a plus.
- Any experience with animal work, iPS cell culture, 3D cellular models, cell-based assays, viral transduction, high-throughput-screening, fluorescence image analysis, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, GxP environment is a plus
