Accountant Accounts Payable
- The role:
Perform accounting and financial tasks mainly in the Accounts Payable area to ensure accurate accounting records, timely payments, strong process and cost controls. The position involves cross functional collaboration in an internal environment.Job Responsibilities
- 1. Manage daily operations of Accounts Payable accounting, including but not limited to daily transactions, prepare payment runs, run month end procedures and join projects and initiatives in relevant area as applicable.- 2. Collaborate with other departments to set up accounting processes and procedures from procurement up until payment. Act as contact person and gatekeeper for the local organization to make sure defined processes are understood and respected.- 3. Prepare monthly and quarterly close reporting; also, ad-hoc analysis in relevant area.- 4. Participate the preparation and submission of governmental grants and subsidies.- 5. Support SAP implementations and system upgrades in relevant area.- 6. Assist with external and internal audits.- 7. Collaborate with HQ accounting colleagues to analyze IFRS and German GAAP differences and work on solutions to comply with both standards.Job Qualifications
- Qualifications and Education:
1. Certified Accountant and/or Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting- 2. Experienced to work in a multinational environment, use of English Language at work.- 3. Good knowledge of relevant Systems such as SAP FI/AP/FA as well as MS-office.- 4. Knowledge of German GAAP and IFRS is a plus.Language Skills:
1.Very good German and English language skills (verbal and written).

Professional Skills:
1. Minimum 2+ years accounting practice within in well-known international accounting firms or industrial corporations.- 2. In-depth knowledge of German accounting practice.Personal Attributes:
