Patent Attorney

**Deine Aufgaben**:

- Advice on the legal validity, relevance and scope of patents held by the company and third parties
- Conducting IP risk assessments in the development of new products and technologies for the company and presenting the results to management
- Development and implementation of IP strategies, IP training and consulting for RD teams and the business units
- Assistance with and responsibility for patent litigation, patent-related litigation, licensing, and other IP transactions
- Identification of unauthorized use of ams OSRAM patents by competitors as well as creation of claim charts proving such use

**Wen wir suchen**:

- Successfully completed studies (Master, Diploma) preferably with relevant additional doctorate degree in physics or electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on semiconductors ndash; a good understanding of opto-semiconductor technology and related fields is an advantage
- Qualification as a patent attorney (e.g. European, German, Austrian and/or US patent attorney), with several years of professional experience after qualification, preferably in industry
- Value-oriented mindset to create and exploit an industry-leading patent portfolio. Commercialization, transactional and/or litigation experience is a plus
- Work in the necessary depth of detail without losing sight of the big picture
- Open-minded, team player with excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, also towards RD, management, and external partners
- Fluency in English and preferably German
