We are looking to hire a full-time Copywriter to draft, edit and execute communications, curatorial and publication texts across platforms with a transdisciplinary focus on art, culture, wellbeing, urban development and sustainability. The role will include the handling of planning, editing and referencing of existing material, essays, transcripts and video material to create compelling and coherent texts including but not limited to Press Releases, Web Entries and Social Media posts. Working directly with the corresponding Communications department, the role will execute conveying written material that captures the company’s mission.

The Copywriter will work within the companies of Therme Art, the cultural incubator and commissions programme of leading wellbeing provider Therme Group, as well as the impact investment initiative Impact One. The position reports directly to the Head of Cultural Communications, in further accordance with the CEO, Head of Cultural Development and the Director of Development. The role will be based at the Therme Art office at Erkelenzdamm 5, Berlin, with the possibility of working remotely.

The role will cover in particular:

- Formulating texts in accordance with our communications, curatorial, editorial and formatting standards
- Close and transparent communication with management and team
- Project management and delegation of tasks relating to each project
- Sighting and redaction of essays and transcripts, distilling the most important information
- Foreseeing and approaching potential conflicts with a problem-solving oriented mind
- Conducting original research and copy writing and editing for accuracy and originality
- Proofreading to detect and correct grammatical and formatting errors
- Oversight over timeline and resources, regularly communicating updates, delays or need for additional resources
- Liaison with graphic designers for the visual implementation of content
- Correspondence and management of publishers, external authors, and archives
- Research and inquiry of text and image copyright and credits

Writing requirements:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the fields of cultural writing, editing and/or publications
- Demonstrated experience managing publications (preferably of art, cultural, and health or science related contexts)
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communication Studies, or adjacent field
- Necessary equipment including a laptop or computer and workspace with internet access and necessary software
- Familiarity with word processing and task management software
- Excellent verbal communication and time management skills
- Self-motivated, disciplined approach to work
- Ability to multitask, outstanding organisational and time-management skills
- Meticulous approach with an outstanding sense for detail
- A native or near-native fluency in written and spoken English

Therme Art is the cultural incubator of Therme Group. Responsible for the outreach to the creative communities, it curates forums between culture, science and society and works with internationally renowned artists and architects, as well as emerging talents, to commission and develop site - specific artistic projects that challenge the limitations of conventional exhibition spaces and redefine contemporary art viewing. Therme Art provides the resources and means required to fulfil artists’ visions which cannot be realised in galleries or museums, regardless of their complexity, production, installation, and long - term maintenance.
