**About our client**
Our client is a provider of best-in-class design and procurement services for a broad installer network in the German rooftop solar market. The fast-growing company is backed by a pan-European independent mid-market PE firm and benefits from close costumer relationships in a high-growth market contributing to European energy independence. Now they are looking for a senior controller to join their team and works closely with the CFO on all finance related matters. This person will help setting up the finance function and be a significant part of their growth journey. The position is based in Berlin, Germany. There is also an option to work in Hanover or Werlte (Emsland) including some home office flexibility.
- **What the job involves**
- Supporting the CFO on all finance related topics
- Setting up, structuring and optimising controlling and planning processes and tools
- Providing relevant information, detailed analysis and background to underlying business performance, external benchmarks and insights to support decision-making
- Supporting on the implementation of a central KPI model
- Cash and liquidity management, as well as forecasting and consolidation
- Preparation of the analyses and derivation of concrete recommendations for action in coordination with the respective stakeholders
- Professional and proactive risk management
- Supporting on external reporting and assisting on projects
- Working closely with investors and the management
**Who we are looking for**
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
- Several years of experience working in Finance/Controlling - ideally experienced in working in a Big 4 company
- Previous experience working with private equity investors is highly beneficial
- Experience with complex, decentralized structure is very important
- Knowledge of HGB and IFRS is a must have
- Experience with common ERP-systems
- Ideally experienced in implementing BI-systems and controlling processes
- Good MS-Office Skills
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Self-motivated and driven with an eye for detail
- Analytical thinking and data driven
- Flexible and open for travelling
- Fluent in German and English
