Who Are We Looking For?
As Senior HR Business Partner for State Street Institutional Services (IS), you will lead a global team of experienced HR professionals across various disciplines responsible for the strategic development and execution of talent related priorities aligned with key business priorities. This includes a focus on attracting, developing, and retaining talent in alignment with strategic business objectives, delivering a world-class HR experience to our employees, and shaping our culture. You will operate as a key advisor to the IS President and his direct reports team to deliver on the human capital objectives of State Street’s largest business unit. This role has responsibility and oversight for GHR-CC teams in our European, APAC, and Emerging Growth regions including legal entity related HR support. In this role, you will participate as a member of State Street’s Global Human Resources & Corporate Citizenship (GHR-CC) operating group and leadership team.
This role will report directly into our CHRO and we are location agnostic with the final placement of the role but it will need to be located in an office within the Global footprint of the Company This role will have a matrix reporting line into the Head of IS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a global human capital strategy and execute multiple initiatives to drive business success, with a focus on attracting, retaining and developing talent and leadership, evolving and amplifying our culture, enabling manager effectiveness, and leading succession planning initiatives, and delivering a world-class employee experience
- Provide advice, coaching and counsel to IS’ President and senior management, individually and as a team
- Provide leadership to our regional and country GHR/CC teams in Europe, APAC, and Emerging Growth regions/countries. Ensure that country and/or legal entity considerations are accounted for when designing global HR programs, processes, and procedures.
- In partnership with fellow GHR-CC colleagues, play a leadership role executing on variety of talent related priorities including learning and development, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, incentives, and inclusion, diversity, equity
- In addition to managing a team of HR Business Partners (aligned to IS and across regions), dually manage a cross functional team of virtual team of HR Centers of Excellence (COE) representatives (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development & Learning, Employee Relations)
- Maintain a pulse on the employee experience and monitor areas of culture, compensation, employee well-being, and identify and/or initiate programs to ensure that State Street remains competitive
- Serve as senior GHR representative for IS external client engagement activities
Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience in HR strategy development, organizational development, compensation and/or talent acquisition within a large global organization.
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience in the financial services industry
Expert in setting and executing HR strategy aligned with business goals Experience managing teams and supporting clients in Europe and APAC in particular with a knowledge of HR related regulatory requirements
