Associate Buyer

**What to Expect**

The Indirect Procurement team at Gigafactory Berlin manages the sourcing and procurement of goods and services essential for factory operations. This includes areas such as technical services, business services, non-production materials, consumables, and utilities. As an Associate Buyer, you will play a critical role in supporting procurement activities and operational tasks that ensure efficient and compliant purchasing processes.

This junior position is ideal for someone with foundational procurement experience, focusing on operational tasks such as reviewing purchase requests, supporting financial analyses, and assisting with supplier evaluations. The role offers opportunities to develop skills in procurement strategy and negotiations, with potential to take on greater responsibilities over time.

**What You'll Do**
- Reviewing purchase requests to ensure compliance with procurement policies and alignment with operational needs
- Providing guidance to stakeholders on processes, policies, and system usage when creating purchase orders
- Conducting financial analyses, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, should-cost modelling, and pricing benchmarks
- Collaborating with internal teams and senior procurement professionals to analyse requirements and support sourcing decisions
- Supporting RFx processes through document preparation, supplier data collection, and initial evaluations
- Conducting market research to inform supplier capabilities and cost trends
- Preparing and reviewing procurement documentation for accuracy and consistency

**What You'll Bring**
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional ability
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in indirect procurement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite tools, with strong skills in data analysis and financial modelling
- Knowledge of procurement techniques, including TCO analysis, should-cost analysis, and cost benchmarking
- Detail-oriented and organised, with strong multitasking skills to manage tasks efficiently while ensuring compliance
- Analytical and proactive in identifying improvements, with problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English; German is an advantage
