Chief Agronomist

Your role:
- Be a thought leader for all agronomic topics internally for strategy, product development and data analytics, as well as externally, for our partners (for example: institutes, growers, associations, organisations etc)- Identify, shape and establish new partnerships whilst building upon existing agricultural partnerships with companies and customers (farming)- Lead our agronomic team and related initiatives- Plan, design, and conduct field tests together with our partners- Leverage your agronomic expertise to identify oppportunities to come up with new innovative solutions

Your profile:
- Successfully completed studies in agronomy or equivalent degrees- Extensive experience in working with product development, strategy, sales or marketing teams, to design bespoke products and solutions for growers- Sound knowledge of crop physiology, crop protection as well as nutritional supply (fertilization)- Solid experience in conducting, planning, designing, and executing field tests in a professional or research environment- Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with players within the agricultural space (e.g. with growers, institutes, consultants, academia, companies)- Prior experience in agricultural sensor technology or other technical solutions would be advantageous- Experience in specialized crops (fruit and vegetable growing) would be beneficial- Deep interest in new digital and sensorics-based technologies- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high degree of autonomy- Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams- Professional English and German language skills
