Position: Project Procurement Officer

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Procurement Officer to join our team in Hamburg, Germany.

Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with project managers to understand project requirements and procurement needs.
- Source potential suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate potential vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and other relevant factors.
- Prepare and issue procurement documents, including Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Invitations to Bid (ITBs).
- Analyze vendor proposals and quotations, negotiate terms and conditions, and select the most suitable suppliers while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Coordinate the end-to-end procurement process, including vendor selection, purchase order creation, order tracking, and delivery scheduling.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documents, and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues that arise during procurement, and develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry best practices, and innovations in procurement to continuously improve processes and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Participate in supplier performance evaluations and contribute to the development of a supplier database.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (X+ years) in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in [industry/sector].
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with relevant procurement software and tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficient in English and German (both written and spoken).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
