The Becker group at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology is looking for a

to join our multi-disciplinary team to work on algorithms for mass spectrometry data analysis.

The primary objective of this role is to pioneer and maintain innovative computational strategies and algorithms, facilitating research in the lab’s core areas. This entails analysing newly generated datasets and investigating the potential of novel algorithmic, statistical, and machine learning solutions to foster the creation of new computational tools. The position provides opportunities for collaboration with both internal and external scientists to analyze and interpret novel findings using innovative methods, thereby contributing to ongoing projects and fostering the development of individual projects.

The position is available immediately and is limited to two years with the possibility of prolongation. Financial compensation will be carried out according to the public service remuneration scheme TVöD Bund.
